We Have Bugs

We were explaining our mosquito bites to someone today and Chris happened to be nearby. (Chris is the really nice guy who let us borrow his car to go to the hot springs in Caldera).
Chris said something to the effect of “Do the bites start at your ankles and kind of work their way up?”
Jonathan: “Ummm… yah… well, sort of.”
Chris: “Those aren’t mosquito bites. Those are mites.”
Yep.
We have bugs.
Apparently you get this thing which Chris told us is called coloradia.
And we’re headed to the restaurant “Amigos” to pick up “Gruber’s Jungle Oil” and rubbing alcohol at the grocery store.
Apparently that’s the solution to the bugs. Rubbing alcohol followed by Gruber’s Jungle Oil.
We’re also washing our sheets and drying them on high heat to get rid of any bugs that may have gotten into the sheets.
Will keep you updated!

Well that sounds like fun…
I hope you get rid of them quickly!!
Yah…
Definitely not fun.
I hope they go away quickly too.
In Panama, El Valle de Anton and Boquete where many distributors can be found, Gruber`s Jungle Oil, has been the most effective for Massive Sandfly Attacks. It also eliminates the itch, allergy and Poison from insects, spiders, scorpions, jelly fish and Stingrays. Apply as first aid, made from the Medicinal Plants of Panama by herbalist Frank Gruber, email botanicogruber@hotmail.com and botanicogruber@hotmail.com
Hi Frank,
How does Gruber’s Jungle Oil work exactly?
They could be bed bugs too. Check on the bottom of your mattress, the boxspring, the bed rails, headboard…etc… and look for tiny specs of blood. Bed bugs feed on you while you are sleeping and then go back to their nest where they digest the meal. When they poop…they poop your blood. Lets hope it’s not that as you’ll have to do a lot more than washing your clothes and drying them on high heat.
Your mattress guru is correct. Bed bugs require a very strong prescription that you have to cover your entire body & hair & leave on over night to kill the little creatures. I travel with bug spray, even in America & spray my beds & floors in the hotels when I get there & then I go out to eat, etc. so the bug spray can do it’s job before I go to bed. Unfortunately America is now allowing pets in a lot of hotels & flea bites are the worst ever on me–turn into sores. I also carry “Off” that I always keep on my feet & shoes & legs when I ever walk in ANY grass anywhere.
You can get grass mites in your own yard.
